Matthew Z. Huffer


Mr. Huffer joined Hudson, Reed & Christiansen, PLLC in August of 2019 upon graduation from the University of Tennessee College of Law where he graduated with a concentration in business transactions. While in law school, Matthew served as a Research Editor of both the Tennessee Law Review and the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, in addition to participating in various mock trial competitions. During law school, Mr. Huffer had the opportunity to try a jury trial in a criminal matter in Coffee County, Tennessee, successfully acquiring a unanimous guilty verdict on behalf of the State of Tennessee. Prior to law school, Mr. Huffer graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he received his Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science. During his time at Vanderbilt, Mr. Huffer served as a congressional intern to Congressman Jim Cooper. Prior to attending Vanderbilt, Matthew was the valedictorian and student body president of Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Mr. Huffer will concentrate his practice on a wide variety of legal matters, including criminal cases, civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and real estate law matters. He is permitted to practice law in all Tennessee state courts.

Matthew is grateful to become a part of the community in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and provide legal services to the Rutherford County community and other surrounding counties. He attends World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing soccer, and kayaking along the Duck River.
